About Us

Buon Appetit is a busy, family-owned Italian restaurant located in the heart of Camden. Known for our authentic Italian cuisine, vibrant atmosphere and exceptional hospitality, we pride ourselves on delivering a memorable dining experience to every guest.

We are seeking an experienced, confident and reliable Bartender to join our friendly front-of-house team.

Our bar operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, particularly during weekends and peak dinner services. We need someone who is organised, efficient and capable of maintaining high standards while working under pressure.

About the Role

As an experienced bartender, you will be responsible for delivering efficient, professional beverage service while contributing to the smooth operation of our busy restaurant.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and serving cocktails, mixed drinks, spirits, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Preparing quality barista-made coffees, including espresso-based beverages.
- Managing a high volume of drink orders accurately and efficiently during busy services.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and fully stocked bar.
- Monitoring stock levels, rotating products and assisting with restocking.
- Following responsible service of alcohol (RSA) requirements.
- Working closely with floor staff and management to ensure smooth, timely service.
- Providing friendly, professional customer service.
- Completing opening, closing and general cleaning duties.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience working behind a busy bar is essential.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- Proven experience as a bartender in a busy restaurant, bar or hospitality venue.
- Barista experience is essential,



including confidence operating a commercial coffee machine.
- Strong cocktail-making skills and knowledge of beer, wine and spirits.
- A current NSW RSA competency card or valid recognised equivalent.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and presentation.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A professional, positive and mature approach to hospitality.
- Reliability, punctuality and a solid work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative without constant supervision.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality, takes pride in their work and understands the importance of teamwork in a busy restaurant environment.

Working Hours & Availability

Our restaurant operates:

- Wednesday – Friday: Dinner service
- Saturday – Sunday: Lunch and dinner service
- Monday – Tuesday: Closed

Weekend availability is essential. Applicants must be willing and able to work Friday and Saturday evenings, along with other rostered shifts as required.
