Place Wright Talent is looking for reliable Storepersons to join a busy warehouse team. Previous warehouse experience is welcome but not required, as full training is provided. This is a great opportunity for both experienced workers and people starting out in the industry.
Hours and shifts
We offer full-time, part-time and casual positions, so there’s flexibility to suit your availability. Both day and night shifts are available, with shifts of up to 12 hours. Please let us know your preferred work type and shift availability when you apply.
What you’ll be doing
- Receiving, checking and unpacking incoming deliveries against purchase orders
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately and on time
- Dispatching orders and preparing consignment paperwork
- Putting away stock and keeping storage locations organised
- Conducting regular stock counts and reporting discrepancies
- Using RF scanners and the warehouse management system to record stock movements
- Loading and unloading trucks and shipping containers
- Wrapping, labelling and securing pallets for transport
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and free of hazards
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures and reporting incidents
- Making occasional local deliveries or pick-ups using a company vehicle
- Supporting the team with other general warehouse duties as required
What we’re looking for
Essential requirements
- A current, valid Australian driver’s licence
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 20kg comfortably and safely, as this is an inherent requirement of the role
- Willingness to undergo a national police check and background check (a criminal record will not automatically exclude you; each case is assessed on its relevance to the role)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Availability to work shifts of up to 12 hours
- Positive attention to detail and accuracy
- Reliable and punctual, with a positive attitude toward teamwork
- Basic computer skills and confidence using handheld scanners (training provided)
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
Desirable (but not required)
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre or logistics environment
- Current forklift licence (LF), or willingness to obtain one
- Experience with a warehouse management system
- Order picking or RF scanning experience
