About the Role
The Simcraft Group Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and versatile Boilermaker / Welder to join its team at the Welshpool workshop.
We are looking for an experienced all-rounder with strong fabrication and welding skills who is willing to take on a variety of workshop duties and contribute to the team wherever needed. This is a long-term chance for someone reliable, hands-on and committed to quality work.
What You'll Be Doing
- General fabrication, boilermaking and welding
- Pipe fitting and fabrication
- Welding using FCAW, GMAW/MIG and TIG processes on mild steel and stainless steel
- Reading and interpreting basic engineering drawings
- Assisting with a variety of workshop duties as required
- Operating a forklift when required
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work environment
- Working collaboratively with the team to complete jobs on time and to a high standard
What We're Looking For
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent practical experience
- Solid workshop experience with strong all-round fabrication and welding skills
- Competent in FCAW, GMAW/MIG and TIG welding
- Experience with mild steel and stainless steel
- Pipe fitting and fabrication experience highly regarded
- Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings
- Current forklift licence – essential
- Current White Card – essential
- Adflo welding helmet and own tools
- Current driver's licence
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Reliable, flexible and willing to undertake a variety of workshop duties
