Senior Project Manager/ Construction Manager

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take responsibility for construction delivery, operational performance and the continued development of project teams. You will work closely with the Managing Director to help shape the company's future, strengthen internal capabilities and establish the foundations required for sustainable growth. This position also offers the opportunity to contribute to business development through existing industry relationships and ability to identify and secure suitable, profitable projects.

Key responsibilities

- Provide strong, visible leadership across all construction projects
- Mentor, develop and hold Site Managers and project teams accountable
- Foster a positive, cooperative and high-performance culture
- Support recruitment and the development of a scalable management structure
- Oversee project delivery across safety, quality, programming, budgets and client satisfaction
- Introduce practical systems for procurement, forecasting, variations, reporting and project completion
- Identify and manage construction risks before they affect project outcomes
- Maintain exceptional workmanship and attention to detail across all projects
- Work collaboratively with architects, designers and consultants to resolve complex construction challenges




- Take ownership of project financial performance and profitability

About you

- Significant senior construction management experience, preferably within Sydney's high-end residential building sector
- A proven track record delivering complex, architecturally designed homes and major renovations
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate, mentor and develop teams
- Sound financial and commercial management experience
- Established relationships across the architectural, design and construction communities
- Experience introducing practical business systems and improving operational performance
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with the ambition to contribute to the growth of a successful SME
