Real Estate Trust Accountant - WFH - Flexible schedule

Vanessa Cole and Associates is a growing, close-knit team known for our meticulous work, dependable processes and exceptional client service.

We're looking for a highly organised Trust Account Administrator who genuinely enjoys accuracy, routine and doing important work properly every time.

This role suits someone who takes pride in keeping records precise, following established procedures and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

You'll play an essential role in maintaining the accuracy, integrity and compliance of our real estate clients' sales and rental trust accounts.

The role

- Daily rent, bond and utility receipting
- Owner, landlord and creditor disbursements
- Receipting and disbursement of vendor-paid advertising
- Mid-month and end-of-month processing
- Account sale production and distribution
- Daily and monthly reconciliations
- Legislative reporting and audit preparation
- General administration and identifying practical opportunities to improve established procedures

About you

- Naturally meticulous, methodical and consistent; accuracy matters deeply to you
- Comfortable with routine, process-driven work and able to maintain focus across recurring, repetitious tasks
- Confident following procedures, compliance requirements and legislative obligations exactly
- A reliable team contributor who can also work independently and take ownership of your portfolio
- Strong work ethic and a genuine commitment to supporting clients and colleagues
- An interest in the real estate industry and helping clients achieve their goals
- Experience in real estate trust accounting and/or property accounts
- Property Me,



Reapit and VaultRE experience
- General bookkeeping knowledge; Xero experience is an advantage
- Experience in a trust accounting firm

You'll remain closely connected to the team through Zoom and Google Chat, with clear procedures, regular guidance and ongoing support from the Director and team.

Hours and Availability

This role averages 30-38 hours per week. The first two weeks of each month are our busiest operational period, so consistency and availability during these times are important.
