Lift Cancer Care

Adelaide

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day administration of a specialised oncology Day Hospital, managing a complex environment where decisions are made quickly and high standards are maintained.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager and senior leaders to ensure the service runs reliably, safely, and at pace. This is a hands‑on, execution-focused role requiring consistent presence, attention to detail, and strong accountability within a well‑established operational structure with clear expectations around performance.

About Lift Cancer Care

Lift Cancer Care Services is a purpose-built oncology service operating as both an Accredited Day Hospital and a multidisciplinary allied health clinic. We deliver Exercise Medicine, Physiotherapy, Lymphoedema Services, Dietetics and Psychology through a highly integrated model of care.

Our work sits at the intersection of hospital-level governance and outpatient service delivery. This creates a complex operating environment requiring strong systems, clear decision‑making, and consistent execution.

Key responsibilities include:

- Driving daily operational performance across administrative and Exercise Medicine services
- Optimising bookings, assessments, and overall clinic flow
- Providing direct, visible leadership to the admin team and setting clear daily priorities
- Monitoring operational checklists, confirmations, and follow‑ups, and acting quickly when gaps appear
- Resolving patient concerns and operational issues as they arise
- Ensuring referrals, documentation, and appointment details are accurate and clinician‑ready
- Monitoring daily financial processes, correcting errors promptly, and following up private health insurance excesses
- Supporting reconciliation and billing workflows across Medicare, private and compensable funding streams
- Developing, maintaining, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures that support safe and effective care
- Coordinating onboarding, training, and orientation for new staff
- Tracking mandatory competencies and credentialing requirements

- Supporting accreditation and NSQHS readiness through documentation, audits, and quality checks
- Acting as the first point of escalation for day‑to‑day operational issues and making timely decisions

You will be well suited to this role if you:

- Are ready to step into a higher level of operational responsibility and take ownership of how a complex clinical service performs day-to‑day.
- Have experience in healthcare, allied health, hospital, or practice management
- Are comfortable working in fast‑moving clinical environments
- Can make timely decisions without compromising accuracy or compliance
- Are confident leading people and addressing issues directly
- Are organised, decisive, and able to manage competing priorities without losing control of detail
- Communicate clearly and remain composed under pressure
- Are comfortable working with financial processes and resolving errors
- Understand the importance of governance, confidentiality, and quality in healthcare
- Prefer being accountable for outcomes rather than waiting for direction
- Experience in accredited healthcare services and familiarity with NSQHS Standards will be highly regarded.
