Weldworks Australia Pty Ltd is expanding its construction workforce and is looking for a qualified Carpenter with solid experience in residential and commercial building projects.

You will undertake hands-on carpentry work across projects in NSW and WA, from interpreting construction drawings and setting out work to installing structural frameworks, flooring, cladding, doors, windows and internal fixtures.

This position would suit a practical and dependable tradesperson who takes pride in accurate work, understands construction-site requirements and can coordinate effectively with other trades.

What You Will Be Doing

- Review construction drawings, specifications and measurements before commencing work
- Set out, measure, cut, shape and assemble timber and other building materials
- Build and install wall frames, roof framing, flooring systems and structural components
- Install doors, windows, stairs, cabinetry, cladding and prefabricated fixtures
- Complete repairs, alterations and maintenance on existing timber structures
- Check levels, dimensions, alignment and finishes throughout each stage of work
- Identify material requirements and assist with estimating quantities for upcoming work
- Coordinate daily activities with site supervisors, builders, subcontractors and other trades
- Inspect completed work and correct defects before handover




- Provide guidance to apprentices and junior workers when required
- Operate hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all site safety procedures

What We Are Looking For

- Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent relevant qualification
- At least three years of practical carpentry experience
- Demonstrated experience working from plans, drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of timber construction, installation methods and building materials
- Ability to complete work accurately with limited supervision
- Positive understanding of building standards and workplace safety requirements
- Reliable communication and the ability to work productively with other trades
- Physical capability to perform manual construction work
- Willingness to travel between project locations in NSW and WA when required
