Cracka Excavations is looking for an experienced truck driver and machine operator to join our team across civil construction and excavation projects in Canberra and the surrounding region.
Key responsibilities
- Drive Kenworth T908 truck and dog and Kenworth K200 semi tipper, carting spoil, soil, gravel and other construction materials
- Operate a range of earthmoving equipment, including excavators and Bobcat/Posi Track machines
- Carry out site cuts, bulk and detailed excavation, trenching, loading trucks and site preparation
- Complete daily pre-start checks and keep equipment clean and well maintained
- Work accurately to levels and follow site instructions
- Work independently and alongside other operators and trades
About you
- Current HC licence or higher
- Truck and dog and/or semi tipper experience
- Previous excavator and Bobcat/Posi Track experience
- Experience with 18-speed Road Ranger gearboxes preferred
- Relevant operating tickets or competencies
- Construction White Card required
- Protected driving habits and confidence working on construction sites
- Strong focus on safety and looking after machinery
- Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of the team
- Reliable transport
