Thriving Ability Support is seeking experienced, reliable and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team across North Brisbane and Moreton Bay.

We are looking for individuals who are professional, approachable and genuinely committed to building positive, consistent relationships with participants.

Our focus is on delivering meaningful, person-centered support that promotes independence, confidence, skill development and greater community participation.

Key Responsibilities

- Support participants with community access, social inclusion and recreational activities.
- Assist with daily living routines and independent living skill development.
- Encourage participation in sports, physical activities and community programs.
- Provide transport and assistance with appointments and everyday activities.
- Support participants with varying needs, including behavioral, emotional, communication and regulation challenges.
- Work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals and other service providers.
- Follow individual support plans, behavioral strategies and risk management procedures.
- Complete accurate shift notes, incident reports and other required documentation.

About You

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers who demonstrate professionalism, reliability and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered support.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

- Previous experience supporting individuals with varying levels of assistance and complex support needs.




- Confidence in responding appropriately to behavioral, emotional and communication challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with participants and families.
- A calm, patient and professional approach to challenging situations.
- A sound understanding of participant choice, dignity and independence.
- The ability to work independently, show initiative and adapt to individual needs.
- Reliability, consistency and effective collaboration with families and allied health professionals.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card).
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), where required.
- Current driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Previous experience in disability support.
