About the role
Green by Nature is seeking an experienced National Fleet Manager to lead the strategy, governance and operational performance of our Australian fleet. This is a national leadership role responsible for vehicles, equipment, fleet policy, asset lifecycle planning, fuel controls, maintenance performance, data and commercial outcomes. You will work across multiple locations and partner with Finance, Operations, Workshop Managers, suppliers and senior leaders to improve fleet availability, reliability, utilisation and cost control. Reporting to the Executive General Managers for Landscape Services and Specialty Services, you will lead and develop Workshop Managers while setting consistent national standards and performance expectations.

Key responsibilities
• Develop and implement the national fleet strategy, policies and governance framework
• Lead fleet lifecycle planning, replacement, disposal and growth strategies
• Own the national fleet Capex plan, forecasts and investment recommendations
• Oversee fleet service operations, maintenance performance, breakdown response and service standards
• Lead and support Workshop Managers across Australia
• Monitor fleet availability, utilisation, downtime, maintenance compliance and repair costs
• Manage fuel, toll, registration, private-use and vehicle compliance controls
• Use fleet data and reporting to identify trends, exceptions, risks and cost-saving opportunities




• Partner with Finance and Operations to manage budgets, forecasts and whole-of-life costs
• Support procurement, supplier performance, fleet specifications and service arrangements
• Drive continuous improvement across fleet information, maintenance planning and service workflows About you You will be an experienced fleet, asset, workshop, maintenance or service operations leader with a robust background managing multi-site operations. You will bring:
• Demonstrated experience managing a national or geographically dispersed fleet or asset base
• Experience with fleet policy, governance, lifecycle planning, Capex and operational performance
• Proven leadership experience managing managers and service teams across multiple locations
• Strong commercial and financial judgement, including whole-of-life cost assessment
• The ability to interpret fleet, fuel, maintenance and utilisation data and turn it into practical action
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills
• A structured, pragmatic and improvement-focused approach
