Sales & Workspace Manager
- Canberra OnlyCanberra | Part-time, 12 hours per week | Initial 12-week fixed-term role Workspace by black vc is looking for a commercially sharp relationship-builder to help fill private offices, win venue bookings and turn interest into paid customers. This is not a reception role dressed up as sales. You will own the full sales cycle: identify the right businesses, start conversations, run tours, create proposals, follow up with confidence and close. We are building a serious home for ambitious businesses in Canberra. Our priority is filling Workspace with high-quality clients — particularly consulting firms, accountants, law firms, funded businesses and growing teams. What you will own
• Requalify existing Workspace enquiries and progress every live opportunity towards a paid start.
• Build and work a focused target list across Canberra’s professional-services and growth-business market.
• Conduct warm outreach through the black vc community, partners and your own relevant relationships.
• Run targeted cold outreach to suitable businesses.
• Lead workspace tours and buying conversations.
• Prepare proposals, manage follow-up and close approved deals.
• Win suitable venue, meeting-room and studio bookings.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide a concise weekly commercial update. What success looks likeIn your first month, every existing enquiry has a next step, a focused target-account list is active and a consistent outreach, tour and follow-up process is operating. By the end of the initial term,
you will have generated paid office starts and venue bookings, created a credible next-quarter pipeline and built referral relationships that produce qualified introductions. We measure success by collected revenue, paid occupancy, contribution and retention — not activity for activity’s sake. What you will bring
• Evidence that you have personally won business through outreach, relationships and follow-through.
• Confidence speaking with business owners and decision-makers.
• Strong written follow-up and commercial judgement.
• Relevant Canberra relationships are valuable, particularly across consulting, accounting, legal, commercial property, hospitality or B2B services.
• Experience in flexible workspace, venue hire, hospitality, professional services or B2B sales is useful, but results matter more than industry labels. The engagement
• Part time, 12 hours per week.
• Initial 12-week fixed-term employment agreement.
• Hourly pay plus super and a performance bonus tied to collected, attributable revenue after approved incentives.
• Hours will be planned around outreach, tours and closing meetings.
• There is room to grow the role where revenue and results justify it.
• Everything is negotiable, everything has flexibility. ApplyDo not send a generic application. Send three examples of business you have personally won. For each, tell us the starting point, commercial outcome, timeframe and your specific role.
• Also include a short outline of how you would create the first ten relevant conversations for Workspace by black vc.
