Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Product Designer with strong domain knowledge across Cards, Payments, and Fraud Technology. The role focuses on analysing, designing, delivering, and supporting solutions across complex banking platforms, with particular emphasis on fraud decisioning, card processing, payment transactions, and system integrations. The successful candidate will work across business and technology teams to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, investigate complex production issues, and support the delivery of reliable solutions across interconnected banking systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyse and support end-to-end card and payment transaction flows, including Visa and Mastercard processing.
• Work with fraud detection and decisioning platforms, card-processing applications, and downstream customer communication systems.
• Analyse payment message attributes and transaction data, including ISO 8583 data elements, to support solution design, mapping, and troubleshooting.
• Support card lifecycle and fraud-remediation capabilities such as card blocking/unblocking, card replacement, reset status, token suspension/unsuspension/deletion and automated remediation.
• Work with card tokenisation, digital wallets, 3DS/CAVV, virtual cards and network token processing.
• Analyse and define API integrations, request/response payloads, event-driven interfaces, and data mappings between applications.
• Investigate application and transaction behaviour using Oracle SQL, logs, dashboards, and observability tools.




• Perform production troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across distributed applications and identify requirement, configuration, integration or implementation issues.
• Develop and validate source-to-target mappings between upstream transaction systems, fraud platforms, and downstream applications.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear technical requirements, solution flows, interface specifications, and implementation approaches.
• Work closely with product, engineering, architecture, fraud, cards, digital and other technology teams to deliver cross-platform solutions.
• Support production releases, technical validation, post-implementation monitoring and remediation of production issues.
• Identify opportunities for automation, Generative AI, NLP and intelligent data-mapping capabilities to improve engineering and operational processes.
• Produce transparent technical documentation and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Technical & Domain Skills
