Senior Engineer / Estimator – Indiji Civil

We’re growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Engineer / Estimator to help us win and deliver the next stage of work. The role You’ll lead our estimating and tendering, from first look at a tender to a well-priced, competitive submission. You’ll also bring engineering know-how to how we plan and deliver jobs. You’ll work closely with our directors, operations team and site supervisors. What you’ll do
• Review tender documents, drawings and specifications, and prepare accurate cost estimates and pricing schedules
• Do quantity take-offs, build up rates for plant, labour, materials and subcontractors, and get supplier quotes
• Prepare and submit tenders and expressions of interest, including methodologies, programs and non-price criteria
• Support prequalification with government and Tier 1 clients
• Give engineering input on construction methods, temporary works,



staging and risk
• Hand projects over clearly to our delivery teams and support them with variations and claims
• Build relationships with clients, head contractors and suppliers
• Help set up estimating systems and processes as we grow What you’ll bring
• A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
• Solid experience estimating civil works such as earthworks, roads, drainage, rehabilitation and plant hire
• Experience with government tenders (e.g. TMR, local councils, Defence) is highly regarded
• Strong skills with take-offs and estimating software
• Clear writing for tender submissions
• Good judgement on risk and pricing, and the confidence to back your numbers
• A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to sites when needed Why join Indiji Civil
