Your next opportunity could be in WA – without permanently relocating to Perth.
Are you an experienced HSE Advisor looking for your next challenge on major construction projects?
McNally Group is expanding our search beyond Western Australia, and we're keen to hear from experienced safety professionals based across Australia and New Zealand who are interested in FIFO opportunities.
As a proudly WA family-owned and operated manufacturing and construction company, McNally specialises in remote construction, modular infrastructure and non-process infrastructure projects supporting Australia's resources sector.
With a strong pipeline of work across Western Australia, we're looking for an experienced, hands-on HSE Advisor who knows what it takes to deliver safety outcomes in remote construction environments.
Why Join McNally
- FIFO 2:1 roster across remote Western Australian projects.
- Interstate and New Zealand applicants welcome, with assistance towards flights available for the right candidate, subject to agreed arrangements.
- Work on major construction projects within the resources sector.
- Join a values-driven, family-owned business where safety leadership, communication and accountability genuinely matter.
- Enjoy the opportunity to influence site safety culture and work alongside experienced construction and project teams.
About the role
Reporting to the HSEQ Manager and working closely with our site leadership and HSE team, you'll provide practical safety guidance and support to ensure our projects meet legislative, company, site and Client requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing proactive, hands-on HSE advice and support to project teams and subcontractors.
- Monitoring compliance with project HSE management plans, procedures and client standards.
- Facilitating site inspections, risk assessments, toolbox meetings and safety initiatives.
- Leading and supporting incident investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement activities.
- Coaching supervisors and employees to strengthen safe work practices and individual accountability.
- Supporting project reporting, audits, high-risk work controls and site safety assurance activities.
About you
We're looking for an experienced safety professional who is confident operating in a fast-paced construction workplace and comfortable working with the expectations of Tier 1 resources clients.
To be considered, you'll need:
- A minimum of five years' relevant, hands-on HSE Advisor experience in construction and/or mining/resources projects.
- Demonstrated experience working on Tier 1 mining or major construction projects, with the ability to meet applicable client experience requirements.
- A recognised WHS/HSE qualification, such as Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety, or an equivalent qualification subject to verification.
- Strong knowledge of high-risk construction activities, hazard identification, risk management and incident investigation.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively with managers, supervisors, employees,
subcontractors and client representatives.
- The ability to meet relevant mine-site onboarding, medical, induction and other mobilisation requirements.
Previous experience working on remote mine sites and a practical understanding of Australian mining construction safety requirements will be highly regarded.
Based interstate or in New Zealand?
We recognise that experienced safety professionals aren't limited to Western Australia.
If you're based in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Auckland, Christchurch or elsewhere across Australia or New Zealand, we'd welcome your application.
The position operates on a 2:1 FIFO roster via Perth, Western Australia. For the right candidate, we are prepared to discuss assistance with flights between your home location and Perth, with arrangements agreed as part of the offer.
Why McNally?
At McNally, we believe in Building Better – not just through the projects we deliver, but through the people who make them happen.
We are deeply committed to our core values and foundations. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves. Fun is one of our values, so laughter and light-hearted moments are part of how we build strong teams, remain resilient and enjoy the challenge.
