About the role

Working closely with the Centre Manager, you will help create a welcoming, organised and engaging environment for children, families and educators. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys working alongside their team and leading by example.

Key responsibilities

- Supporting the Centre Manager with daily operations and stepping into a leadership role in their absence

- Guiding and mentoring educators to strengthen practice and build a positive team culture

- Supporting meaningful educational programs, documentation and reflective practice

- Building strong, respectful relationships with children and families

- Contributing to continuous improvement, quality standards and service goals

- Helping maintain a safe, inclusive environment where children's wellbeing comes first

About you

- A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or an approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification

- At least two to three years' experience in early childhood education,



with further experience highly regarded

- Previous Room Leader, Educational Leader or similar leadership experience

- A sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard

- Solid communication, organisation and problem-solving skills

- The ability to offer constructive guidance, support colleagues and follow through on responsibilities

- A proactive approach and the confidence to take initiative

- A current Working with Children Check and relevant first aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training
