Your key responsibilities

- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process from purchase order placement through to receipt of goods.

- Liaise daily with international suppliers predominantly across Asia and Europe to ensure purchase orders are progressing in line with agreed lead times and shipment schedules.

- Coordinate with multiple freight forwarders and transport providers to facilitate the timely and cost-effective movement of imported goods.

- Review and reconcile shipping documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin and other import documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Monitor inbound shipments and proactively communicate delays, ETA changes and supply issues to key internal stakeholders.

- Maintain accurate purchasing records, shipment information and inventory data within the ERP system.

- Work closely with Purchasing colleagues, Warehousing,



Finance and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth receipt and processing of inbound stock.

- Ensure all import activities comply with Australian customs regulations, company policies and supplier requirements.

- Assist with inventory planning by maintaining supplier lead times and supporting purchasing decisions based on historical demand and inventory requirements.

- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes, supplier communication and freight efficiencies.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive purchasing professional who thrives in a busy international supply chain setting.

You will possess:

- A minimum of 3 years' experience in an international purchasing, procurement or import role.

- Demonstrated experience managing purchase orders with international suppliers across.

- Strong working knowledge of international trade, import documentation, Incoterms and Australian customs requirements.

- Proven experience working with multiple freight forwarders and logistics providers.

- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with overseas suppliers and internal stakeholders.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple purchase orders and competing priorities.

- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate purchasing and shipment records.

- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to manage purchasing and inventory information.

- A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
