We’re looking for Assistant Managers ready to take the next step in their leadership career. Already a Shift Supervisor, Shift Leader, Team Leader or Restaurant Supervisor? This is your next step. You’ll work alongside the Manager to develop the team, hold the standards and make your café the kind of place guests want to come back to.

We grow our own leaders
95% of our café managers were promoted from within Cali Press. With new cafés opening across Sydney in the next six months and our first Melbourne café opening in November, we’re creating recent leadership roles for people ready to step up.

Key responsibilities

- Run the café day to day with the Manager, leading the team through busy service

- Recruit, train and coach the team, spotting potential and helping people grow into their next role

- Manage rosters, ordering and stock

- Keep a close eye on labour, waste and sales so the café performs at its best

- Hold the standard on food safety, presentation and guest service, every shift

About you

- 1+ years’ experience as a Shift Supervisor,



Shift Leader, Team Leader, Restaurant or Kitchen Supervisor, or Assistant Restaurant Manager in a busy café, restaurant or quick-service venue

- A people-first leader who coaches, motivates and leads by example

- Confident with rosters, stock control and reading basic sales and cost reports

- Calm, organised and solutions-focused when things get busy

- Hungry to learn and ready to take the next step to Café Manager

- Full working rights in Australia
