OCD Clinic Brisbane is looking for Clinical Psychologists and Clinical Psychology Registrars to join our team. You can work from Brisbane City, Carina or a mix of both. The role can be full-time, part-time or contract, with a minimum of two days per week.

Our story and our team

We opened in 2015 as a small practice focused on OCD and related disorders. Since then we’ve grown into a team of 18 clinicians. We’re also part of a wider network of clinics, which gives our team a broader group of colleagues and shared training.

We’ve kept what mattered when we were small. Our team includes clinical psychologists and registrars at different career stages, with experience across adult, child and adolescent work. We know each other well and look out for each other. When a case gets stuck, there’s always someone who has seen something similar.

“Won’t specializing in OCD narrow my career?”

It’s the first question most people ask us, and it’s a fair one.

Our clients almost never come with OCD alone. Most have three or more diagnoses or significant clinical issues. You might be working with trauma, depression, health anxiety, perfectionism, panic or eating difficulties.

You’ll also become genuinely skilled in OCD and related disorders, which are the presentations many psychologists feel least confident treating. That expertise stays with you wherever your career goes.

Training and development

You don’t need OCD experience to start.



A positive grounding in CBT and/or ACT is enough. We’ll teach you the rest.

- Structured ERP training when you start. Your caseload builds gradually over your first 4 weeks.

- Fortnightly peer supervision and regular case discussion.

- CPD sessions a year across our network. Recent topics have included attachment, ethics/legal issues.

- A Principal Psychologist and strong operational leadership for additional clinical support.

- Access to the OCD Training Institute, co-founded by our clinic director.

The role

You choose your client group - adults, children and adolescents, or whichever mix suits you. Our admin team handles referrals, scheduling and billing, so your energy goes into clinical work. Referrals currently exceed capacity, so you can build a full caseload quickly.

Registrars receive Board-approved registrar supervision and regular clinical supervision from a team that wants you to become a better psychologist, not just complete your hours.

About you

- Current AHPRA registration as a Clinical Psychologist or Clinical Psychology Registrar

- A solid foundation in CBT and/or ACT

- Private practice experience, or relevant clinical experience as a Registrar

- An interest in OCD and anxiety

- A commitment to evidence-based practice

- A curious, collaborative approach and a desire to keep developing
