This is not a traditional Product Manager role. We're looking for someone who knows hydrocyclone equipment, understands how it operates in mineral processing environments and can confidently take that technical knowledge into customer conversations.
You'll combine hands-on technical expertise with commercial capability, working directly with customers to understand their processing challenges, recommend the right equipment and solutions, and support our Business Development teams to grow the hydrocyclone portfolio globally.
Based in either Carrara on the Gold Coast, Australia, or Pretoria, South Africa, this is a global role with international travel expected.
What you'll be responsible for
- Take ownership of the design, development, performance and ongoing evolution of the hydrocyclone product portfolio.
- Lead the development and optimisation of hydrocyclone equipment, components and configurations.
- Provide technical expertise to customers and Business Development teams, supporting product selection, technical sales, applications and troubleshooting.
- Work directly with customers to understand operational requirements and recommend fit-for-purpose hydrocyclone solutions.
- Use your practical equipment knowledge to support technical discussions, problem-solving and equipment requirements when needed.
- Drive improvements across classification performance, hydraulic efficiency, reliability, wear life, maintainability and cost competitiveness.
- Provide technical leadership across product design, engineering standards, specifications, materials selection and product application.
- Partner with R&D;, Metallurgical Services, Engineering and Manufacturing to develop, test, validate and commercialise new and improved hydrocyclone products.
- Use operational performance data, laboratory testing, customer feedback and market insights to identify opportunities for future product development.
- Ensure product designs meet operational, manufacturing,
WHS, environmental, quality and risk management requirements.
- Represent Mineral Technologies with customers and stakeholders across global markets, with regular international travel as required.

About You

You'll be equally comfortable discussing equipment performance with technical teams, working through an operational challenge with a customer, and supporting the commercial conversation behind the solution.
To be successful, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience working with hydrocyclone equipment and a strong understanding of hydrocyclone technology and applications.
- A tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Process or Metallurgical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience within mineral processing, mining equipment, process technology or a related engineering environment.
- Solid technical understanding of hydrocyclone operation, classification, slurry systems and mineral processing circuits.
- Experience in product development,
equipment engineering, product management, technical sales, applications engineering or a related technical role.
- The ability to confidently engage with customers, identify operational requirements and support the technical sale of hydrocyclone equipment and solutions.
- Practical knowledge that enables you to troubleshoot equipment performance and work through technical challenges when required.
- An understanding of engineering design principles, materials, wear performance, manufacturing considerations and equipment optimisation.
- Robust communication and stakeholder engagement skills across engineering, metallurgy, manufacturing, commercial and customer teams.
- A willingness and ability to undertake international travel as required.
What We Offer
- A high-impact role with ownership of a global hydrocyclone product portfolio.

- A collaborative, innovative and safety-focused working environment.
Where you'll be based: This position can be based in Carrara, Gold Coast, Australia or Pretoria, South Africa, with international travel forming an important part of the role.
As an employer that embraces Equal Opportunity and promotes diversity, we encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.
