About the role

The Senior Golf Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and coordination of all golf operations at Clifton Springs Golf Club. This role ensures exceptional member and visitor experiences while driving operational efficiency, revenue growth, and team performance across the pro shop, competitions, coaching programs, and club operations.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee daily golf operations including tee sheet management, competition delivery, and handicap administration

- Ensure seamless coordination between ground staff, pro shop, and hospitality teams for optimal course conditions and playing experiences

- Manage tournament and event operations, including corporate days, member competitions, and special programs or events

- Implement and maintain golf operations software systems (e.g. Golf Genius, MiClub, Eaglei360)

- Lead and schedule the golf operations team across a 7-day roster

- Support performance reviews and training for Pro Shop staff

- Foster a high-performance culture focused on member service, sales, and operational excellence

- Manage recruitment, onboarding, and retention of casual and part-time team members

- Serve as a key point of contact for member enquiries, feedback, and relationship management





- Ensure consistent delivery of premium service standards across all touchpoints

About you

- Minimum 5 years' experience in golf operations or club management

- Proven leadership and team management capabilities in a hospitality or sporting environment

- Strong commercial acumen with examples of demonstrated revenue growth impact

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills

- Proficiency in golf operations software and Microsoft Office suite

- Current driver's licence and availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster

- PGA qualification or relevant tertiary qualification in sports management, business, or hospitality (desirable)

- Experience with Golf Genius, MiClub, or similar golf management platforms (desirable)

- Background in retail management, merchandising, or visual display (desirable)

- Knowledge of Golf Australia handicapping systems and competition formats (desirable)
