The Role This is for a full-time role with an annual salary set at $73,000, depending on experience plus superannuation. Duties Will Include
• Prepare and cook meals following standard recipes, preparation methods, and kitchen procedures
• Present dishes attractively while maintaining consistency, taste, and portion standards
• Assist with food preparation and service activities under the direction of kitchen supervisors or chefs
• Monitor food quality and ensure meals are served at appropriate temperatures
• Follow daily menus, production schedules, and portion requirements during kitchen operations
• Check and record food temperatures to ensure compliance with food safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, equipment, and preparation areas
• Support stock rotation, ingredient storage, and inventory handling procedures
• Operate kitchen appliances and cooking equipment safely and efficiently




• Communicate with kitchen staff and supervisors regarding food preparation and operational requirements
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
• Support kitchen operations during busy service periods while maintaining workflow efficiency Requirements
• At least a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
• Minimum 12 months of experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen
• At least 12 months' experience in cooking using grill and open fire
• At least 12 months' experience in preparing pastas and sauces from scratch
• At least 12 months' experience in preparing meals that cater to various dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free, vegan, or nut-free options.
• Must be able to work with proteins like pork, beef and seafood
• Must know how to prepare meals to dietary requirements
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and protected work practices in a commercial kitchen
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
