icare Health &Support; Services is seeking an experienced and dedicated Forensic Support Worker to provide high-quality care and support to an individual with complex needs with forensic history. Supports will be provided in- house and community settings. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate professional who can promote independence, manage challenging behaviours, and support service to the individuals in achieving positive outcomes.Key Responsibilities

- Provide person-centred support to individuals within forensic and mental health services.
- Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours using positive behavioural support strategies.
- Documentation in form of progress notes each shift, Incident and behaviour log reporting
- Support the individuals with daily living activities, community access, and rehabilitation goals.
- Promote dignity, choice, independence, and social inclusion at all times

Requirements

- Previous experience working with individuals with forensic history, mental health, or complex care individuals




- Strong understanding of risk management, safeguarding, and professional boundaries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and qualified in challenging situations.
- Certificate iii or iv in disability services
- Driver’s license
- Working with Children clearance
- NDIS screening check
