Security Officer – Part-Time

Bungalow Security Group (Master License # 000111614) is looking for an experienced Part-Time Security Officer to join our Friday and Saturday night team at a hospitality and late-night venue in Surry Hills.

We are building a small, consistent security team where guest experience and security standards carry equal importance.

This is not an old-school crowd-control role.

You will be expected to provide a professional and welcoming presence while maintaining safety, managing patron behaviour and supporting the venue through its busiest trading nights.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming guests and supporting a positive arrival experience
- ID checks and entry management
- Monitoring patron behaviour and venue safety
- Crowd control and capacity management
- Supporting RSA requirements and responsible patron management
- Managing intoxicated or difficult patrons professionally
- Using communication and de-escalation wherever possible
- Responding to incidents and escalating appropriately
- Working closely with the Security Operations Manager and venue management
- Completing incident reports and required security documentation
- Supporting safe closing and patron dispersal
- Maintaining a high standard of personal presentation and professionalism

What We Are Looking For

You must have:





- Current NSW Class 1A Security Licence
- Current NSW RSA
- Current First Aid certification
- Previous licensed-venue, hospitality, nightlife, hotel or event-security experience
- Robust communication skills
- Strong de-escalation and conflict-management ability
- Professional personal presentation
- Calm and confident manner
- Excellent customer-service instincts
- Reliability and punctuality
- Availability every Friday and Saturday night

Friday and Saturday

This is a permanent part-time position within a small, dedicated security team.

Pay: $350,000.00 per year
