We currently have multiple vacancies for experienced MC Long Distance Truck Drivers (Interstate).

Experience operating A-doubles and B-double is essential.

You'll be providing excellent transport services to our customers and maintaining our health and safety standards.

Your role as an Interstate Driver with DGL Bulk Transport will include:

- Safely operating late-model equipment transporting materials (interstate/long distance). This includes either Flat Tops, Tautliners, Prairie trailers for steel cartage and Tankers

- Always participating in and committing to DGL’s safety standards and COR requirements

- Daily pre–start checks on the prime mover and trailing equipment to ensure that the vehicle is in a proper and protected working condition

- Maintaining records such as work diary (EWD), cargo consignment notes, and obtain proof of delivery for every delivery

- Using and maintaining tools and equipment found on commercial vehicles such as in-cab technology, weighing and measuring devices, and restraint equipment

- Checking the load corresponds with the paperwork and recording breakage or damage prior to departure and on arrival

- Making sure the load is correctly loaded and secured by the appropriate Load Restraint Equipment Guidelines when loading or before departing customer sites or our depots

- Calculating and estimating the weight of loads to comply with load limits

- Coupling and uncoupling trailers.

Here are the skills and qualifications you'll need to be considered for this role.

Essential Criteria

- Valid MC Driver's License

- Dangerous Goods License a Bonus

- Experience operating A double & B double vehicles.

- Knowledge of BFM standards, Chain of Responsibility (COR), Road Transport Legislation and the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS)

- Attained unit of competency TLIF0005 - Apply a fatigue risk management system (BFM Drivers only)

- Demonstrated driving record (a recent Driving History/ Demerit Point Record)

- Driving experience (an internal driving assessment will take place)

- Ability to safely conduct manual handling activities

- Good communication skills

- Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

- Note: Australian citizenship is mandatory for these positions

Desirable Criteria

- Knowledge of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG)

- A Dangerous Goods Licence and Forklift Licence would be highly regarded.
