Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and self‑directed carer to provide domestic assistance, meal preparation, transport and in‑home respite support for an older couple located in Croydon North.

This role is well suited to someone who takes pride in their work, stays focused on the task at hand and understands the importance of being productive, efficient and respectful of the client’s home environment.

You will be supporting both clients and their informal carers by stepping in and getting the job done properly, without needing constant direction.

Shift Structure

- Weekly daytime AM shifts on Tuesdays or Wednesdays
- Located in Croydon North
- Combination of domestic assistance, meal preparation, transport and in‑home respite
- Days and times to be agreed
- Reliability and consistency are essential

Key Responsibilities

- Provide thorough domestic assistance, including cleaning to a high standard
- Assist with general household tasks (laundry, kitchen cleaning, tidying, etc.)
- Meal preparation: chopping, cutting, following care-recipient's cooking instructions
- Support in‑home respite, allowing informal carers time to rest or attend to other commitments
- Follow client and family instructions respectfully and accurately
- Work efficiently and remain focused on tasks during each shift
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment
- Communicate clearly with clients, families, and the Circle Home Care team




- Arrive on time and complete all assigned tasks within shift time
- Complete required documentation and updates

Requirements

- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care, Disability, or equivalent)
- Experience providing in‑home care or domestic assistance
- Solid attention to detail and ability to clean thoroughly and efficiently
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Excellent spoken English communication skills
- Full driver’s licence and reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle
- Familiarity with or ability to travel within Croydon and surrounding suburbs
- National Police Check (current within 3 years)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (valid)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Full working rights in Australia
- Influenza vaccination (within the last 12 months)
- A reliable, practical and no‑nonsense approach to work
