Community Carers NSW is looking for experienced, reliable and caring Disability Support Workers who live locally and are looking for regular work close to home.

We support participants across the Sutherland Shire and St George areas, with shifts available in local homes and community settings.

What’s on offer

- Above Award rates: Base rate of $42 per hour plus kilometre reimbursement for approved work-related travel. Higher rates apply for evening, weekend and public holiday shifts.

- Casual shifts available Monday to Friday, between 8am and 8pm, with opportunities to work regular hours based on your availability and client needs.

About the role

As a Disability Support Worker, you may provide:

- Personal care and daily living support
- Domestic assistance
- Medication administration
- Community access and social activities
- Support with appointments and activities
- Assistance to achieve individual participant goals
- Support that promotes independence, dignity and wellbeing

About you





We are looking for experienced Disability Support Workers who live locally and can reliably travel to participants throughout the Sutherland Shire and St George areas.

You will need:

- Minimum 2 years experience OR Cert III/IV in Disability, Aged Care, or other related fields is highly desirable, nursing students welcome to apply
- Full working rights in Australia
- Experience with mental health, personal care support
- Strong communication, emotional intelligence, and qualified boundaries
- Experience with high-intensity or complex behaviours (advantageous but not required for all roles)
- NDIS Worker Screening, Working with Children Check, Police Check, First Aid & CPR, Driver’s Licence and insured vehicle

Our participants are located locally, so you should be comfortable travelling to clients within these areas and be looking for work close to home.
