Do you want to join our growing team? We have a Horticulture Assistant vacant position for someone with experience working in a technical capacity on a farm.

Must have:

- Previous experience in a technical farm-based role
- Ability to communicate with all stakeholders both internally and externally

Reporting to the Grove Manager, responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following activities:

- In conjunction with the farm manager, oversee farm activities
- Learn to operate and maintain – irrigation and fertigation systems, fertilizer tanks, pumps, valves, pipes/fittings, drip tape and filters.
- Assist with the soil moisture monitoring using appropriate technology, including analysing and interpreting data for irrigation scheduling purposes.
- Undertake pest and disease field monitoring and assist in the development of control programs.
- Assist, monitor and review pruning practices in conjunction with the technical team and management.
- Assist with pre-harvest research and data management, including fruit maturity and oil accumulation analysis.
- Perform Grove operations such as spraying, slashing, fueling.

Pay: $66,000.00 – $76,000.00 per year
