SNDC Pty Ltd trading as Balmoral Cellars is an established retail business located at The Esplanade, Mosman NSW. We specialise in the retail sale of liquor products, together with a range of convenience and everyday consumer products. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail business and support its continued growth.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the store, maintaining high standards of customer service, managing stock and suppliers, supervising staff and ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of the business.

Retail Manager – Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage the day-to-day operations of the retail store.

· Plan and coordinate staff rosters, shifts and daily work activities.

· Supervise, train and support retail staff to maintain high standards of customer service.

· Monitor sales performance, revenue and operating costs.

· Manage inventory, stock levels, stock rotation and replenishment.

· Coordinate ordering and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.

· Receive, check and appropriately store incoming stock.

· Monitor product pricing, promotions and merchandising.

· Ensure products are displayed attractively and in accordance with business requirements.

· Handle customer enquiries, complaints and feedback professionally.

· Maintain accurate records relating to sales, stock and store operations.

· Implement procedures to minimise stock loss, wastage and operational costs.

· Ensure the store is maintained in a clean, safe and organised condition.

· Ensure compliance with applicable liquor licensing, workplace health and safety and other relevant legal requirements.





· Assist with business planning, promotional activities and strategies to increase sales and customer retention.

· Report operational and financial performance to the business owners.

· Open and close the premises and undertake other managerial duties as required.

Key Requirements:

· Relevant qualifications in Retail Management, Business, Hospitality or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

· At least 2 years of relevant retail management experience, not mandatory in bottle shop.

· Demonstrated experience managing a retail store and supervising employees.

· Strong knowledge of stock control, purchasing and inventory management.

· Experience with staff rostering and performance management.

· Good understanding of retail sales, merchandising and customer service.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

· Good computer and point-of-sale system skills.

· Robust organisational, problem-solving and leadership skills.

· Ability to work flexible retail hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.

· Previous experience in a liquor retail or convenience retail environment will be highly regarded.

Valid RSA and Licensee Required

Pay: $85,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
