Astoria Bar & Grill is looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our team full time. The successful candidate will help keep the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly during service.

Key responsibilities

- Wash dishes, cookware and kitchen equipment
- Keep kitchen work areas, floors and storage areas clean and tidy
- Assist with basic food preparation as directed by the kitchen team
- Receive and store deliveries, rotating stock where required
- Follow food-safety, hygiene and workplace-safety procedures
- Support chefs and other kitchen staff during busy service periods

Requirements

- Previous experience in a kitchen hand or similar role is preferred
- Valuable work ethic and a positive, dependable attitude
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness and hygiene
- Available to work full time, including evenings and weekends as rostered
- Able to work well as part of a team
