About the role Water & Earth Services is looking for an experienced Retaining Wall Builder / Structural Landscaper to join our team.
We specialise in concrete sleeper and sandstone block retaining walls across Brisbane and surrounding areas. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable, and consistently delivers quality results.
We’re looking for someone keen to become a long-term member of our team.
Key responsibilities
Construct concrete sleeper and sandstone block retaining walls.
Read and follow plans, engineering drawings and site specifications.
Set out walls, check levels and prepare sites for construction.
Complete excavation, post installation, concreting and drainage work.
Safely operate excavators and other relevant tools and machinery.
Maintain a high standard of workmanship throughout each project.
Communicate professionally with clients, answer questions and raise any concerns with the supervisor.
Work effectively with supervisors and other team members.
Keep work areas tidy and follow workplace health and safety requirements.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience in retaining wall construction or structural landscaping.
Experience building concrete sleeper and sandstone block walls.
More than 3 years’ excavator operating experience is essential.
Ability to follow plans, take accurate measurements and work to specified levels.
Confidence using relevant tools and equipment.
Strong customer service and communication skills, with a professional and respectful approach to clients.
Strong attention to detail and practical problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
Ability to carry out physical work in outdoor conditions.
A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
A current Construction White Card.
Relevant trade qualifications and first aid certification will be highly regarded.
