OS Hardening Engineer
to support a large-scale initiative focused on improving the security posture of an enterprise server environment.
Responsibilities
Implement CIS Benchmark Level 1 hardening standards across Windows and Linux server environments. Develop, update and test Puppet code to automate security configuration changes. Manage code changes through Git and GitHub pull requests. Assess the impact of security controls on applications and services. Troubleshoot issues relating to authentication, permissions, services, networking and logging. Support testing, validation and phased deployment activities. Document exceptions,
testing outcomes and operational considerations. Essential Criteria Strong experience administering Windows Server and Linux environments. Hands-on Puppet experience, including roles and profiles, Hiera and code reviews. Practical Git/GitHub experience including branching, pull requests and version control. Previous experience delivering OS hardening, security uplift or server baseline projects. Robust troubleshooting capabilities across enterprise server environments. How to Apply
