Accounts Payable specialist

to join our finance team at our Shepparton VIC location. This is a

part time position to cover for maternity leave upto 12 months which requires minimum 3 days a week

that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the essential functions of our accounts payable operations. You will play a crucial role in managing our supplier payments, invoice processing, and financial record-keeping, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. This role is fundamental to maintaining positive supplier relationships and upholding our financial integrity. Key responsibilities Processing and coding invoices from suppliers in a timely and accurate manner Verifying invoice details against purchase orders and delivery documentation Managing supplier payments and reconciling accounts payable records Maintaining organised filing systems for all invoice documentation and payment records Resolving invoice discrepancies and liaising with suppliers regarding payment queries Preparing accounts payable reports and reconciliations as required Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures Supporting the finance team with general administrative duties related to accounts payable What we're looking for Proven experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role Experience Docusmart will be a added advantage Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Excellent organisational and attention to detail skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information professionally Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently as part of a team What we offer At Goulburn Motor Group, we value our employees and are committed to providing a supportive workplace.
