About the opportunity

Want your next sales win to mean something? A Melbourne-based not-for-profit telecommunications provider is on the hunt for a Business Development Manager to grow its client base across research, education, health, government and commercial markets. It is a small, agile business, so your ideas get heard, your wins get noticed and you will see the impact of your work fast. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will own your portfolio, your pipeline and your client relationships from day one
The role

- Identify, qualify and win new business across five exciting markets
- Build strong, long-term relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Shape customer solutions and pricing with the commercial and technical team
- Drive your pipeline with a weekly review of activity and results
- Lift the organisation's profile and share market and competitor insights

What you'll bring

- Telecommunications or networking industry experience
- A proven track record managing relationships with a diverse range of clients, ideally in research, education, health, government or commercial markets
- The ability to turn client needs into commercial solutions,



backed by strong negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- The confidence to work autonomously in a small, hands-on team

A tertiary qualification, ideally in Electrical Engineering, is a bonus.
