Frame & Truss Designer / Estimator - Residential Construction

Prospect Frame and Truss is a well-established manufacturer and supplier of prefabricated timber wall frames, roof trusses, and engineered products to the building industry. Based in Riverstone, NSW, we have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products, reliable service, and productive project turnaround.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Frame & Truss Designer / Detailer with experience using Multinail or similar design software to join our friendly and supportive team.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position suited to an experienced truss and frame designer/detailer who is confident interpreting building plans and producing accurate designs for manufacturing. You will play a key role in supporting builders, coordinating with production, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and on time.

In this role, you will:

- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce accurate wall frame and roof truss designs.
- Use industry software to design and detail trusses and wall frames.
- Prepare material take-offs, cutting lists, and detailed production documentation for manufacturing.
- Liaise with builders, sales teams,



and production staff to resolve design queries and maintain project timelines.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian Standards and engineering requirements .
- Assist with estimating projects and preparing quotations when required.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience in Frame & Truss detailing, estimating, or design within the building or timber prefabrication industry.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret building and structural plans .
- Experience using Frame & Truss design software (MiTek, Pryda, Multinail or similar) .
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills .
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and builders .
- Reliable, organised, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Desirable:

- Understanding of timber engineering principles and prefabricated building systems .
- Experience working with volume builders or residential construction projects .

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
