Senior Medical Receptionist / Medical Secretary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Receptionist / Medical Secretary to join a busy specialist surgical practice.

Working hours :Monday to Wednesday, 8:30am to 5:00pm**(and flexibility to relieve holiday and/or sick leave).

This role would suit someone with solid medical administration experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Welcoming, receiving, and liaising with patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Booking, coordinating, and organising theatre lists
- Supporting front desk operations and resolving day-to-day administrative issues
- Preparing and maintaining patient files and documentation
- Liaising with doctors, hospitals, patients, and other healthcare providers
- Assisting with billing and administrative processes for surgical procedures

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have :





- Previous experience in a senior medical reception, medical secretary, or specialist practice administration role
- Experience with Medicare billing for surgical procedures
- Experience with healthcare billing systems and processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to stay calm, efficient, and professional in a busy practice environment

Preferred Experience

- Previous experience in a urology practice
- Knowledge of the Shexie billing system

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
