Fraternity Sports Club is an exciting recent addition to the Fraternity Club family, bringing renewed energy to the region’s dining and social scene.

La Taverna, the clubs newly rebranded Mediterranean-style bistro, has already made a strong impression with its fresh menu and welcoming atmosphere. As the venue grows, we are expanding our kitchen team to meet increasing demand.

We are now seeking a casual Chef to join La Taverna. If you’re passionate about quality food, teamwork, and being part of a growing venue, we would love to hear from you.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Prepare meals on various stations in the kitchen including grill, pans and pass, ensuring quality and consistency across all products
- Assist with food preparation, service and cleaning during busy service periods
- Comply with WHS regulations, HACCP processes, and procedures regarding food safety
- Inspect and maintain supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality




- Opportunities to work in other kitchens at other venue to expand skills and knowledge

Skills and Experience

- Previous experience in a busy kitchen
- Ability to work efficiently and multi-task during service
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Reliable, positive and team-focused attitude
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends and public holidays
- Relevant cookery qualifications (Cert III or equivalent) highly regarded
- Experience with Mediterranean, Italian, modern Australian or wood-fired pizza is advantageous
