Our client is a respected and established organisation operating within a complex and highly regulated environment. With a strong focus on financial governance, reporting accuracy and operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to support the finance team through a period of increased reporting and audit activity.

Job Description

- Participate in the November month-end process to ensure a thorough handover and successful transition into the role.
- Prepare and maintain year-end audit packs and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate and respond to requests from external auditors.
- Assist with the preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Support year-end reporting requirements and corporate reporting deadlines.
- Prepare journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules.
- Work closely with finance leadership to ensure key reporting obligations are met.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.




- Deliver accurate and timely financial information in a high-pressure reporting environment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:

- The ability to complete a three-month contract commencing on the 23rd of November
- Demonstrated experience in a Senior Financial Accountant or Technical Accountant position.
- SAP experience is essential.
- Proven background in financial reporting and statutory reporting.
- Experience preparing and managing audit packs.
- Solid understanding of financial statements and reporting requirements.
- Previous experience liaising directly with external auditors.
- CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent) preferred.
- Previous external audit experience, particularly within a Big 4 or Second Tier firm, will be highly regarded.
