About the role : This permanent part-time (24 hours per week) Speech Pathologist role (Level 1/ 2) is to work within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure a high standard of Speech Pathology service is provided to patients of the Hospital, along with appropriate support and advice to their carers. The Speech Pathologist will participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure a patient-centred, evidence-based, continuous quality improvement work environment that is consistent with the values and ethics of HammondCare and Speech Pathology Australia.

HammondCare is a NSW Health affiliated organisation, all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised.

The essence of this role :

- Provision of effective and efficient speech pathology service to clients and appropriate support and advice to their carers
- Participate as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in assessing patients’ level of functional and care needs, setting joint care goals with patients/carers and providing appropriate treatment.

Selection Criteria :

- A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology as recognised by Speech Pathologist Australia and eligibility for membership
- Practical experience or Extensive Knowledge in providing Speech Pathology Services in an outpatients Rehabilitation and/or Palliative Care setting. Experience across inpatient and outpatient/ community settings would be desirable.




- A current driver’s licence and protected driving record and willing to travel between HammondCare’s sites and services.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, organisation and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
