About the opportunity

An exciting chance is available for a hands-on, technically minded individual to join a growing marine technology company as an Underwater Robot Operator . This role involves working with advanced underwater robotic systems to clean vessel hulls and reduce marine pollution. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working on or around the water and wants to be part of a forward-thinking, sustainability-driven team.

The role

You will operate remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) in marine environments to deliver high-quality hull cleaning services. The role combines technical operation, fieldwork, and customer interaction, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and environmental impact.

Key responsibilities

- Operate underwater robotic cleaning systems safely and efficiently
- Perform basic maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of robotic equipment
- Follow safety protocols and operational procedures at all times
- Communicate clearly with clients and internal team members
- Document completed work, system performance, and any technical issues in a written report

About you

This role will suit someone with some or all of the following skills and experience:

- Comfortable working around boats, marinas, and marine environments
- Hands-on technical, mechanical, or trade background
- Experience with ROVs, drones, robotics, or other remote-operated equipment (highly regarded)




- Current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel
- Flexibility to work night shifts when required
- Strong communication skills and a reliable, team-oriented attitude
- Genuine interest in marine sustainability, innovation, and technology
