Practice Nurse: – General Practice Employment Type: Full-time
Hourly Rate: $40–$50 per hour, subject to experience and applicable award classification

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Nurse to join a multidisciplinary general practice clinic, providing high-quality patient care and supporting GPs with the day-to-day delivery of primary healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities

- Immunisations and Vaccinations: Administer vaccinations and immunisations in accordance with relevant clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Chronic Disease Management (CDM): Assist with chronic disease management plans, care coordination and ongoing patient monitoring.
- Care Plans: Support GPs in preparing, implementing and reviewing patient care plans.
- Patient Observations: Conduct routine clinical observations, monitor patient health and document findings accurately.
- GP Consultations and Visits: Assist GPs during consultations and patient visits, as required.
- Clinical Support: Undertake general treatment room duties and maintain accurate patient records.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with GPs and on-site allied health, pathology and mental health services to support coordinated patient care.

About You:



We are looking for a Registered Nurse with at least one year of experience in a general practice or primary care setting. Candidates with hospital-only experience and no general practice background may not be suitable for this role.
The ideal candidate will have:

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- At least one year of experience working in a GP clinic or general practice environment.
- Experience with immunisations, vaccinations, chronic disease management and patient care plans.
- Confidence in taking patient observations and supporting GP consultations.
- Solid communication, organisational and patient-care skills.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience using Best Practice (BP) software will be highly regarded.
