Phoenix Source & Select is seeking experienced Boilermakers and Fabricators for two opportunities based in Smithfield and Kemps Creek.
We are looking for skilled tradespeople with experience in fabrication, welding, industrial maintenance or workshop manufacturing environments.
Both positions offer consistent weekday hours, competitive hourly rates and the opportunity to transition into permanent employment.
What's on Offer
- $50 per hour (casual rate)
- Monday to Friday | 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Immediate starts available
- Smithfield and Kemps Creek locations
- Ongoing casual employment with a view to permanency

- Hands-on work across fabrication, welding and industrial maintenance
Key Responsibilities Depending on the site and your experience, duties may include:
- Carrying out fabrication, welding and general boilermaking duties
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Fabricating and welding light and heavy-gauge steel components
- Performing repairs, modifications and maintenance on industrial equipment
- Identifying faults and completing repairs to minimise downtime
- Measuring, cutting, grinding and assembling metal components
- Operating hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
- Conducting quality checks to ensure work meets specifications
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work setting
What We're Looking For
- Trade-qualified Boilermaker, Welder or Metal Fabricator
- Demonstrated experience in welding and fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Confident working with hand and power tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Experience in workshop, manufacturing or industrial environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Reliable, punctual and available for an immediate start
Highly Regarded:
- Industrial maintenance and breakdown repair experience
- Experience working with both light and heavy-gauge materials
- Previous experience in engineering workshops or manufacturing facilities
- Experience carrying out equipment repairs and modifications
