Reporting directly to the Store Manager and Deli Supervisor, this successful applicant will be responsible for managing the department as if it were their own store. This is a full-time salaried position.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure accurate stock management and compliance
- Monitor and achieve sales and gross profit targets
- Train, coach and develop your team
- Ensure the department consistently meets food health and safety requirements
About you
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of fresh food department operations
- Experience training, coaching, and managing a team
- Experienced with achieving department/store KPI's and targets
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with stock management and merchandising
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of retail operations
- The ability to build rapport and maintain a positive team culture
- The ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
