About the role

As a Truck Driver and Forklift Operator, you play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods to customers. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, time management and adherence to safety regulations. The role encompasses operating as a Truck Driver and also undertaking Forklift Operator duties in the yard when delivery work is not allocated or has been completed. You will move between transport and yard duties as directed by the Logistics Coordinator, with a strong commitment to safe work practices, accuracy and high levels of customer service.

Key responsibilities

- Ensure the safe transportation of goods, prioritizing compliance with Heavy Vehicle Regulations, road laws, and safety protocols

- Safely deliver and unload goods in a timely and effective manner, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others

- Complete operational and maintenance checklists for both truck and load, ensuring all equipment is in safe working condition before departure

- Transport goods to and from sites, ensuring punctual delivery and optimal condition of goods upon arrival

- Liaise with customers before and during site deliveries regarding estimated arrival times, traffic management, and site-specific instructions

- Complete and manage all documentation related to deliveries, including manifests, Proof of Delivery (POD), and safety reports





- Drive at all times in a legal and professional manner, upholding the reputation of the business

- Pick, pack, check and despatch outgoing orders correctly, safely and efficiently, following established checks

- Safely load and unload trucks, utes, trailers and other vehicles, ensuring correct product selection, appropriate weight distribution and secure loads

- Maintain a tidy, organised and secure yard, identifying and promptly reporting hazards, equipment issues and other safety concerns

About you

- Current minimum HC (Heavy Combination) driver's licence

- Valid LF Forklift Licence (High Risk Work Licence)

- Relevant heavy vehicle driving experience and telehandler experience required

- Minimum two years' experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting

- Familiarity with warehouse and yard operations, product handling, loading/unloading and stock management

- Sound geographical knowledge of Adelaide roads and surrounding areas

- Strong commitment to safety and knowledge of road, heavy vehicle and workplace safety requirements

- Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination when handling products and operating equipment

- Effective time-management and planning skills to meet delivery schedules and yard priorities

- Strong communication, customer service, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
