Westurn Engineering is seeking an experienced Estimator & Quality Controller to join our team in Stake Hill.
This role combines technical estimating, cost analysis and quality management, ensuring accurate quotations, effective manufacturing handovers and well-maintained quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Review Request for Quotes (RFQs), drawings and specifications to determine scope, risks and requirements.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, CNC machining, fabrication and subcontracting.
- Source supplier pricing and validate manufacturing methods and production costs.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and production handover documentation.
- Manage quality registers, NCRs, corrective actions, calibration and inspection records.
- Support ISO 9001 requirements, internal audits, document control and continuous improvement.
About You
- Experience in estimating or costing within manufacturing, machining or fabrication.
- Solid knowledge of CNC machining,
sheet metal and fabrication processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of cost modelling, quality systems and document control.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and commercial awareness.
Experience with ISO 9001, CAD software, CNC programming or ERP systems will be highly regarded.
