The Role

We're seeking an experienced engineering leader to oversee Platform Engineering, DevOps, Release Management, and Configuration Management functions within a complex operational technology environment.
This role will lead multidisciplinary engineering teams responsible for release governance, CI/CD platforms, deployment automation, engineering tooling, configuration control, and environment management. The successful candidate will drive engineering excellence, improve release quality and traceability, and enable teams to deliver safe, reliable, and scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead Release Management and release governance activities.
- Manage Platform Engineering and DevOps teams.
- Own CI/CD, automation, engineering tooling, and deployment platforms.
- Drive configuration management, change control, and baseline governance.
- Ensure development, integration, staging, testing, and production environments are controlled and fit for purpose.
- Improve engineering productivity, platform reliability, and delivery performance.

About You

- Extensive experience leading engineering teams in complex technical environments.
- Strong background in Release Management, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Systems Integration,



or Configuration Management.
- Experience with CI/CD, automation frameworks, deployment pipelines, and engineering governance.
- Strong understanding of traceability, change control, configuration management, and release readiness.
- Experience working within safety-critical, industrial, mining, defence, rail, automation, or other mission-critical environments is highly regarded.
