About the Client
A well-established Brisbane accounting firm is seeking an experienced SMSF Manager to join their growing team.

With offices in the northern suburbs AND CBD, this firm offers exposure to a diverse client base - from individuals and high-net-worth groups through to substantial private entities. You’ll work closely with Managers and Partners, gain strong advisory exposure, and mentor junior staff within a structured team setting.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing the SMSF portfolio from preparation and review through to audit coordination and lodgement
- Reviewing financial statements, SMSF annual returns and supporting workpapers
- Providing technical guidance on contributions, pensions, investment transactions and compliance matters




- Coordinating offshore workflow, reviewing completed work and resolving queries
- Managing audit queries and ensuring outstanding matters are finalised
- Working closely with the Business Services Manager and partners on shared clients
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and grow the SMSF division
- There may also be scope to incorporate business services work, depending on experience and interest.

About You

- Strong SMSF experience within Australian public practice
- Sound technical knowledge of SMSF accounting, taxation and superannuation compliance
- Experience reviewing work and managing a portfolio independently
- Confidence communicating with clients, partners and offshore teams
- Ability to lead the function, maintain quality and meet deadlines
