Workspace has been designing and manufacturing furniture in Australia since 1911. We create solutions for commercial, education, hospitality, health, aged care and accommodation clients. We look after every stage, from product design and development through planning, manufacture, despatch, freight and installation.

Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity available within our Planning & Design Team for a Production Planner who has worked with joinery and has experience with CAD software packages.

Based at our Head Office in Melrose Park, this role is a crucial part in the manufacturing process – you connect our sales and production teams, ensuring customer orders are transformed from ideas to finished products. You’ll work out exactly how to build it, and provide the factory with the information it needs to make it right the first time.

Key Responsibilities

- Draw furniture and create accurate cutting lists for production

- Write nesting and boring programs for our Machine Shop

- Raise requisitions for materials such as board, edging, fabric, frames and hardware

About You

- A trade background or hands-on experience in joinery

- Experience with CAD software





- Able to read and interpret sales orders, design plans and checklists

- Strong attention to detail and a real commitment to quality

- Self-motivated, with excellent time management

- Pytha experience is a bonus but not essential, and we’ll train the right person
