Provide piano tuition to students of all ages and abilities, from beginner to advanced level. The role includes conducting workshops and masterclasses, teaching beginner classes in primary and secondary schools, and group programs with training and ongoing mentoring provided. You will teach at the Conservatorium and in various schools in the region, and have the chance to undertake external paid corporate and event work separate to employment at MacqCon.
Key responsibilities
- Provide piano tuition to students of all ages and abilities, youth and adult, beginner to advanced
- Conduct workshops and masterclasses for students at all levels
- Teach beginner classes in primary and secondary schools, with group programs as required
- Encourage and prepare students for concerts, examinations and eisteddfods
- Participate in staff performances and solo recitals
- Teach at the Conservatorium and in various schools in the region
- School term teaching only, optional school holiday workshops
- Work as part of a team to achieve the organisation's goals
About you
- Tertiary or other relevant music qualification, or at least 5 years relevant teaching experience if no formal qualifications
- Valid Working with Children Check
- Australian Driver's Licence
- Australian permanent residency
- Teaching experience in individual and group settings
- School instrumental tuition experience, especially at primary level
- Ability to perform recital work at Diploma level or higher
- Ability to contribute to planning and administration of the teaching program as required
