12-month Temporary Senior Payroll Officer in Western Sydney

Join a large, established organisation in Sydney's west within a sophisticated payroll shared services environment. This is an excellent prospect for an experienced Senior Payroll Officer who enjoys working with complex payrolls, Enterprise Agreements and data while building strong relationships across the wider business.

Your recent role

As a Senior Payroll Officer, you'll support the accurate and compliant delivery of payroll across multiple sites, working closely with an outsourced payroll provider and internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

- Analysing payroll data across earnings, tax, deductions, leave, superannuation and associated on-costs
- Reviewing fortnightly and monthly payroll reports and reconciling discrepancies
- Ensuring compliance with Enterprise Agreements, company policies and relevant payroll legislation
- Completing payroll investigations and audits to identify discrepancies and minimise risk
- Managing international payroll requirements for inpat and expat employees
- Completing general ledger reconciliations and payroll tax remittances
- Preparing ad hoc payroll and operational reporting
- Supporting payroll configuration changes, documentation and testing




- Working closely with the outsourced payroll provider and key internal stakeholders
- Contributing to continuous improvement and payroll change initiatives

What you'll need to succeed

- To be successful, you'll bring demonstrated payroll experience with robust analytical and data manipulation skills. You'll have a solid understanding of payroll legislation, awards and Enterprise Agreements, alongside intermediate to advanced Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Ideally, you'll have extensive payroll experience and exposure to complex Enterprise Agreements.
- Experience with Workday and Ramco would be highly regarded
- Due to the immediate requirement for this position, you must be immediately available or on a short notice period to be considered.
