Dealership Accountant supporting the Financial Controller and supervising the Accounts team. Based in Waterloo at the flagship site, this role offers great responsibility for a professional that enjoys being hands on within the business.
Key responsibilities
- End of month/year financial reporting
- General Ledger review, measurement and reconciliations
- Preparation and submission of IAS/BAS
- Supervising and mentoring the accounting and administrative team
- Monitor, maintain and develop standard operating procedures and internal controls
- Liaise with industry suppliers and key stakeholders
- Remain current with existing and proposed accounting standards and the impact to the financial and operating policies of the Dealership
- Monitor and control current assets and liquidity measures including cash flow, inventory, debtors and creditors management
- Preparation of ABS surveys and other regulatory reports/submissions.
- Quarterly inventory analysis and reporting
About you
- CPA/CA qualified
- Minimum three years experience in similar position
- Automotive industry experience
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders throughout the business
- Excellent knowledge of Accounting Standards and Australian equivalents to IFRS
- Exposure to Tune, SAP and Hyperion are advantages
